Map of Significant Points

This map shows the relative locations of the Battle, McCord's Fort, Alexander Culbertson's home and the population centers of Chambersburg and Shippensburg.

The purple route is the current road map to travel from McCord's Fort to the battle site.  It is just under 35 miles.

Of note is the series of mountain ranges on the direct route between the two.

It also illustrates the large territory that had to be covered to spread the news of the attack on the Fort and then get word to the Militia members to gather for their rescue mission.
